The source of the following data was obtained from a written document done by someone(s) in the families
involved. Handwritten notes state that William Pittman was a full blooded Cherokee Indian  
and was hung by the neck by southern soldiers during the Civil War.
Beale
William Beale born in 1827; married to Julia Prosky born in 1832; had son John Joshua Beale born 1856
in Evansville, IN.
   John Joshua Beale married Harriett Pittman: had daughter Nora.
Pittman
William Pittman, a full blooded Cherokee Indian, born either April 10 or Oct 10, 1826 and died 1859; married Jane Wheeler born 1830; had daughter Harriet born 1853 in Gainsville, TX.
  
Harriett Pittman married John Joshua Beale; had daughter Nora, born 1881 in Cove Co,AR
